Financial Matters

Parent fees are calculated as a monthly fee. Company holidays, public holidays, vacations or holidays taken by the children, absence due to illness and other general absences by the child do not result in a partial or total refund of the fee, as the monthly fee already takes such absences into account. The number of days per month on which the child is to attend kindergarten for is agreed to in a written contract and will be billed in advance. This bill is to be paid by the tenth day of the month in which the services are provided.

  • Monthly Fee

Several supervision options are available, as follows:

    • Long day supervision 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. including school breaks
      CHF 123.00 per day / CHF 2'460.00
(CHF 2'700.00 as of 01.2025) per month
    • Long day supervision 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. excluding school breaks
      CHF 113.00 per day / CHF 2'260.00
(CHF 2'500.00 as of 01.2025) per month
    • Short day supervision 8:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. including school breaks
      CHF 113.00 per day / CHF 2'260.00
(CHF 2'500.00 as of 01.2025) per month
    • Short day supervision 8.45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. excluding school breaks
      CHF 103.00 per day / CHF 2'060.00
(CHF 2'300.00 as of 01.2025) per month

The monthly fee is calculated as follows (current as 01.2023)
(Number of days per week) x (daily fee) x (4 weeks) = monthly fee
The monthly fee is billed twelve times per year.

  • Schedule Options

The provision of kindergarten for an entire day will be billed at the full daily rate. Additionally, it is possible for the child to be cared for just for the first half of the day until the end of lunch (Pick up between 12.30-13.30) at half of the daily rate. The number of days of kindergarten to be provided is to be agreed to in advance.

In the first year of kindergarten minimum attendance is two days per week. In the second year, school attendance regulations require that children attend kindergarten for at least three-and-a-half days per week. The kindergarten management reserves the right to decide which weekdays.

This is to ensure that a kindergarten teacher who satisfies Switzerland’s EDK guidelines will be available for children to complete their mandatory lessons, and that the physical education hours can be done at the large sports hall (we cannot influence the sports hall arrangements and must adapt to community scheduling needs).

  • Sibling Discount

For non-subsidized childcare places, a sibling discount is granted.

    • 5% discount for each additional sibling on the condition that all children have an 80% care
    • 10% discount for each additional sibling on the condition that all children have a 100% care
  • Flexible Additional Days and Day Swapping

At our kindergarten it is possible to swap a day for which kindergarten attendance is scheduled for a day on which it is not, or to flexibly add additional days as needed by paying the daily fee.

  • Subsidies

The parents’ fees can be subsidized by partner company under certain conditions. Requirements for claiming a contribution reduction and further information can be found on the internal Website (G-Site) of the partner company. The contribution reduction is calculated individually based on the income of both parents. Parents must submit the necessary documents upon request. In the event of late submission, the full amount will be invoiced and owed. A refund or credit is only possible in justified cases. The take best care GmbH commits itself to handling this data confidentially in accordance with data protection regulations.

Children who are resident in the Canton of Zug and are attending their mandatory school year at the Big Bear House kindergarten will receive a school fee discount which is about half of the fee the canton pays. As soon as we (take best care GmbH) will receive this fee, we will pay out this amount to the parents. This school fee reduction is not available to children residing outside the Canton of Zug or who are not yet required to attend school.

  • Cancellation Policy

The provision of kindergarten services to a child can be cancelled by the parents or the Big Bear House effective at the end of October, end of January, end of April or end of July. Notice of cancellation must be provided two months in advance. If less than two months’ advance notice is provided, the full monthly fee will be charged for the two month notice period.

Parents whose children have been promised a place in the Big Bear House and who have signed a contract to this effect but cancel this contract fewer than two months in advance will be billed for the remainder of the two month notice period.
